English workshop (short duration) for 4-6 year olds - The 20th, 21st and 22nd of August 2013

(...)

These last three days have been very active in as much as having the children expand their vocabulary in English (farm animals), build up or decorate several of those animals using various materials, or even having them make puzzles which include some of the animals.

Two more children have joined the group, one of them a girl (the only "female" in the group and equally the only one who is six, as most children are 4-5 years old) and despite the fact we have been rehearsing the theatrical adaptation of "the three little pigs" I have today made room for Sofia not to feel outcast, so I'll have her help Henrique with the sounds on Friday's presentation.

I don't honestly know what the performance for the parents is going to be like, because if one day they seem to have got it almost right the following day they have got it all wrong ...

I have realised it may be too difficult to have them all synchronised and the truth is they are actually here to enjoy themselves ... which has got to be considered as the most important aspect.

I believe having all of these activities has been making them a lot hungrier, once I have been noticing they have been eating a lot more during the morning break lately than they did at the beginning of the week.

... One of the things I have been having a lot of lately though is laughter ... genuine laughter ... and this has been "soothing" my tiredness ...

Note: The photos of the theatre rehearsal have been taken by our colleague João de Barros
