Another Paul Auster's book ...

After having read a few negative critic reviews on the novel Invisible by Paul Auster and an equal number of positive ones, I must say I did enjoy reading it.

Compelling in a way and unsettling all the way through Invisible is definitely worth being read, once the author "takes us into the shadowy border land between truth and memory authorship and identity".

According to Lucy Beresford in Invisible "the manipulation of information is masterly handled, with the plot folding in on itself like intellectual origami. And the scenes of consensual incest are so poignant, so magnificent you almost lose sight of the tabu. In this 15th novel, not only do you get the usual mental workout of textual acrobatics and Beckettian dissections of human angst, but also a racy tale of intrigue and loss, revealing a passionate take on the confusions of life".
