We made it to Marlene's where we expected to have dinner despite not having been able to warn her we had arrived. As she walked in whilst we were distributing the presents to her children, Edeson, Verónica Conceição and Leiziny we were given the opportunity to get to know her child, Lisa once both she and her sister Dulce (whose child we had photographed in the afternoon) were pregnant last time we had been to Calheta.

Having cooked all day long and not having prepared anything for us before hand as she used to (had she known) Marlene insisted we stayed for dinner and she cooked us a splendidly tasting tuna spaghetti.
It had been a tiring day, no doubt, but by the time Noëlle and I made it to the pension and lied on the beds we were both feeling happy because of having contributed towards the happiness of a few.
