The Rajasthan circuit - Day 5 - Jaisalmer down-town area - The 19th of November 2012

(...)

Because there is a tradition of wall hanging silk patchwork handicraft in the area we ended up at a demonstrative workshop, which also "took" us into the world of silk, camel wool textiles, gold brocade and ready-made shawls and scarves. Many of us bought pashmina and silk shawls, though I chose a particularly beautiful camel-wool one with exquisite embroideries on that Christian decided to buy for me.

As we approached the "heart" of the down-town area a huge "haveli" mansion caught our attention and so did several outstanding characters in and around it - A proud "moustachied" man and a young magician we first saw in a bright red mirror-work traditional attire at one of the "jalis" and who would later perform some of his tricks for us, as we were leaving the town to go back to our hotels.

  1. Iolanda Congratulations for this wonderful blog which is my favorite, the good taste with which it presents and the excellent work they have done in Cape Verde always trying to improve and improve and improve.
You're a person who captivates us an amazing way!

You proud. YES! You arrive at the top for your work, and what a beautiful job! You travel, helps to disclose a variety of countries, including ours. You represent a generation that seeks its place in the sun and have shown that this is possible.

Every day, every comment, every new project, every new experience, contribute to this universe that we share becomes ever greater, but without losing the essence that remained from the first post

That's why readers are the most important part of any book or blog and are, above all, the reason for its existence. In the case of blogs like this that are maintained only by the love of writing and the desire to produce something that can be useful and enrich the content of the Internet, they are of particular importance because they are the only reward for the work and effort expended.

They are my best wishes for a Merry Christmas!

    BELL
