Unprecedented gesture ...

In an unprecedented solidarity gesture NAV's choir members accepted the request to sing some Christmas songs for the children of the Training school resident teachers, engineers and secretaries, once the Administration decided there would be no Christmas party for the children this year, taking into account the crisis the country is going through.

Moments preceeding the performance of the choir

Following the performance by the choir, two of the "honoured" teenagers decided to pay back the gesture by playing and singing two of Adele's songs, in what was without any doubt one of the highest moments of the whole "party", with everyone standing up and applauding the performance.

Inês showed us that one doesn't need to be a known "voice" to have us all "bewitched".

A light lunch was organized for the eight children in one of the school's meeting rooms, which further gave them the feeling of having been thought of.

Several pictures were taken of the children in front of the Christmas tree standing in the school's entrance hall ... and I am sure that by the end of the day everyone  (the children included) was well aware that the importance lies on "gestures"  like this ...

An unprecedented gesture that will certainly be forever remembered ...
